The Wolfe Center Needs Leadership Napa Valley’s Help!
The Wolfe Center is currently looking to fill a few board member positions and we feel that LNV has the best and biggest pool of qualified candidates to consider for these positions. For those of you who are not familiar with the Wolfe Center, its mission is to provide prevention, treatment, learning support, and youth development services that reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse on our youth, families, schools and communities. One of its founding members is our own Jill Techel and currently 3 LNV alumni sit on its board. Kevin LeMasters, David Graham and Jason Scoggins. Many Wolfe Center supporters may not be aware that The Wolfe Center is now providing drug and alcohol treatment and prevention services within our local high schools and middle schools. These counselors are mandated by the State to be certified Alcohol and Drug counselors in order to provide these treatment services. In order to obtain this certification, each counselor must enroll in a year long certification course. The counseling staff at The Wolfe Center is highly educated and most of our counselors are local Napa graduates that are bilingual, hold BS and BA degrees and they all care deeply about our local at-risk youth. The Wolfe Center is now raising $6,000 to pay the program cost for 3 of our highly valuable and very much needed counselors. Please help The Wolfe Center raise $6,000 by donating a few dollars to this worthy cause while at the same time passing along this fundraising campaign to all of your friends (via Facebook, email and offline too) who you believe feel as strongly as we do about helping our local at-risk youth.
